1) It is very relevant for every Victorian to be global-minded as we are in a school where there are people amongst us that are from other part of this world. Therefore, it is essential for us to be aware or their cultures, religions and practices so that we can understand them better to facilitate better communication and interacting amongst us.
2) I personally have a friend from Taiwan and he tells me a lot about their culture and practices about what he does during certain occasions. I also shared with him about some things that may be practiced differently in Singapore when compared with what he usually does in Taiwan. By doing so, I hoped that we would foster better friendship and know more about him.
3) I personally feel that the environment best fosters the development of global-mindedness in a person. As in a school where there are all sorts of people from Thailand to Taiwan, I am exposed to all these people and they can share with me all sorts of things they usually do from hobbies to traditions.
4) I strongly agree with this comment. As having a global mindset indeed expose us to a huge variety of cultures, traditions etc and it then teaches us the different things in which people do in a different manner.
